Embsay and Eastby’s Village Hall

The Institute’s Hire Charges

All users are charged the same rates for using the Institute, but single bookings are charged a £20 surcharge.

In addition, there are a range of extra charges that apply to all users.

APPLICABLE FROM 1ST JANUARY 2026

Hourly charges for all users

Main Hall

  • From Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm: £15.00 per hour.
  • Mon-Thurs, 6pm to 10pm: £19.00 per hour.
  • Fri 6pm to Sunday 10pm: £25 per hour

Supper Room

  • From Monday to Friday, between 9am to 6pm: £7.00 per hour.
  • Mon to Thurs 6pm to 10pm: £9.50 per hour.
  • Fri 6pm to Sunday 10pm: £13 per hour
  • Or £16 per session if booked with the main hall

Charges for single bookings

Single bookings of the VI facilities are subject to a surcharge of £25.00.

Bookings made by ‘frequent users’ are not subject to this surcharge.

Frequent users must be approved by the VI management – please contact us if you would like to be considered for frequent user status.

Extra charges for all users

The following charges apply to all users and are on a per booking basis.

Supper Room Add-on

Any user may add the Supper Room to their booking, subject to it being booked with the hall. There is a one-off charge of £16.00 for this and the hourly rates for the Supper Room no longer apply.

Bank holidays

Any booking on a bank holiday is subject to an additional charge of £50.00.

Bookings after 10pm

Any booking that continues after 10pm is subject to an additional charge of £35.00.

Bars

A charge of £50.00 is made if the hirers have a bar as part of their booking.

Kitchen

The kitchen is available, free, to all hirers. Priority is given to users who have booked the main hall.

SOUND & LIGHT SYSTEM

The in-house sound & lights system is available for all users on request
